Iranian short ‘Birthday Night’ to go to Italy

Iranian short flick ‘Birthday Night’ has been selected to go to the 20th edition of Cinema Di Frantiera International Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Omid Shams, ‘Birthday Night’ narrates the story of two friends and business partners, Ahmad and Ali, who face unexpected challenges on their birthday night.

The cast of the short includes Babak Behshad and Nader Fallah.

The film attended several international festivals, including the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival in France, the International Amity Short Film Festival in Turkey, the Rhode Island International Film Festival in the US, the XpoNorth festival in Scotland, the Palm Springs International Festival in the US, and the Global Youth Film Festival in Bangladesh.

The Italian event, Cinema Di Frantiera, welcomes amateur and professional actors and filmmakers.

The festival aims to promote cinematographic and audiovisual cultures.

The 2020 edition of the festival is scheduled for September 16-19.
